This morning, one of the servers at our datacenter became inaccessible either completely or sporadically. During this outage, access to some of our client’s websites, email, files, databases, was impacted.
Technicians reported that the server froze, became inaccessible and they were forced to reboot. Once the server was back online, the public and private network interfaces were not processing requests. Furthermore, a power fault was being generated by the PSU. The techs had to unrack the machine and replace the power supply. After completing this upgrade to the hardware, the server was rebooted and should now be functioning without issue.
Unfortunately these hardware mishaps do happen from time to time, but we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to those affected.
